Mermaid Kat

Katrin Felton has an impressive resume, having won Miss Germany International 2006, Queen of the world Germany 2007, and SeaStar Girl 2008 and other beauty competitions, and has more recently been flipping her fins for fans globally. She is a performer and entertainer who is, like many mermaids, very much into environmental issues - when you have to swim in the ocean, you become very sensitive to how badly we treat it.

For those who don't know who I am, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Katrin Felton and I'm a real mermaid!

When I was a child I loved being in the water and after watching “Disney's The Little Mermaid” I knew that I wanted to be a mermaid. I used to sit in the bathtub with my legs together hoping that they would grow together and turn into a mermaid's tail.

Unfortunately, this never happened but nevertheless my dream came true and it has become my profession. As a mermaid I am often filmed or photographed whilst swimming alongside the ocean's, mysterious and wonderful, natural inhabitants. I don't use any scuba equipment such as an air tank, mask or a wetsuit – I just have my mermaid tail.

My goal is to inspire children and adults to fulfill their dreams and show them the beauty of the ocean's realm. This world is sensitive and if we don't protect it, all of it's creatures will become mythical one day.
