If you're in San Diego on New Years Eve, checking out the Dive Bar's mermaids that night could be one of the more intriguing ways to ring in the New Year.

Remember that other New Year's Tradition
Hmmmm . . . there is a certain other New Year's Tradition: The gal you kiss at midnight is the one you are with all year. ;-) [Hence, consider bringing mistletoe. . . ]
Then again . . . tempting as that sounds to do, recall the setting: Along with mermaids, the bar probably has bouncers, the mermaid's boyfriends, lots of competition from the other bar patrons . . . and requires the mermaid's permission too. (Even then, you still need to past the tank glass for physical contact.)
